Fresh Thoughts approach
Connect with your goals, your strengths, and yourself
My philosophy
The trinity: your mind, your feelings, your body
My philosophy revolves around being connected to your thinking, feeling, and physical awareness. By nature, I was always a thinker, someone who believed in “I think, therefore I am” and “knowledge is power.” Good grades in school and success in the financial world came from hard thinking and logical reasoning. Doing what needs to be done, as well as possible. After years of working at various banks, I realized that I had lost something important: the ability to truly feel.
Laughing and getting angry still came naturally to me, but emotions like fear or sadness were barely there. My relationship with my body was purely physical: “no pain, no gain.” I lacked connection with my emotions and couldn’t listen to what my body was telling me.
Today, I strive for a life where I am aware of my anger, fear, joy, and sadness, and where I pay attention to the signals from my body. By connecting with myself, I can now connect much better with others.
In my coaching, we often start rationally, with the mind, because that’s the familiar starting point for many. Gradually, I reflect your unconscious signals—your choice of words, breathing, or suppressed frustrations or passions—and ask you questions about them that you might not have the immediate answer to.
This way, I help you gain insight into your complete self, leading to a fuller and more fulfilling life.
NLP Coaching
Become aware of your unconscious:
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a powerful and effective method for quickly gaining insight into the motivations behind our actions. Why do you do what you do? NLP helps you identify limiting beliefs, such as “everyone must like me” or “I must not make mistakes.”
By addressing these beliefs, you can act more freely and effectively.
Communication techniques
Effective Personal Communication
Communication is more than just exchanging words; it’s about being effective and consistent in your message. How do you assert yourself? Can you not only give feedback but also receive it? Do you truly understand what the other person means, or just hear what they say? How do you set boundaries, ask for a promotion, or influence others? These practical tools and exercises help you communicate with confidence and clarity, ensuring your message gets across as you intend.
This is what it will bring you
Our approach combines deep insight into your core motivations with practical methods to achieve your goals. This approach enables you to elevate both your personal and professional life. The result?
More peace, clarity, and success, not just for yourself but also in your relationships with others.
Body oriented coaching
Your Body Knows Best
What signals does your body give when you unconsciously frown your eyebrows, lift your chin while speaking, or when your breath shortens in certain situations? Are you aware of these signals, and what happens when you focus your attention on them? Body-oriented coaching is a surprisingly effective and enjoyable method to get in deeper contact with yourself.
Your body knows first, and it knows best.
Emotion based coaching
Are you allowed to feel what you feel inside?
Are you allowed to feel anger, fear, joy, or sadness? What does it mean if you never cry, or if you never feel anger or fear? Can you imagine never laughing? If what you feel inside doesn’t match what you express outside, a gap forms. An attentive listener senses this; you’re not communicating congruently. Being in touch with your emotions not only improves your communication effectiveness but also makes you a more complete and authentic person.
Speaking of bringing out the best in yourself!
Systemic work
Uncover Hidden Patterns
Systemic work is an effective way to gain insight into your place within a system—whether it’s your family, work, or another social network—and your relationship with others within it. Systemic constellations reveal the core of your beliefs and barriers. A well-known form of this is the family constellation. I use systemic work as an accessible and powerful tool to give you deeper insights.
Group coaching
The team program
Do you want to work with your department to get more out of your team members’ potential or to improve collaboration between colleagues? Or perhaps you want to increase employee engagement? Then consider a team coaching program.
During the intake, we discuss the goals of the program and determine the best route to achieve them. We focus on team dynamics, enjoyment at work, underlying issues, and mutual trust.
For team programs, I work with experienced partners who specialize in team coaching. Individual sessions and the use of the app (including e-learnings!) can be part of the program.
With these partners, I also work on longer-term and large-scale coaching programs for companies.
Fresh Thoughts Consulting
Old love never dies
During my years at various banks, I met and spoke with many companies and hundreds of entrepreneurs. Sparring with entrepreneurs about their challenges and passions is something I not only excel at but also thoroughly enjoy.
I have a passion for business models, marketing, and sales, with a sharp eye for financial health and opportunities.
I maintain long-lasting, enjoyable partnerships with several entrepreneurs and companies. Flexibility is key—just like it is for the entrepreneur.
FAQ
What is the difference between mentoring, coaching, and therapy?
A mentor shares his or her own experiences and provides guidance by discussing your challenges. I have mentored young bankers in their careers for over 20 years.
A coach helps you to find the answers that are already within you.
A therapist, on the other hand, often gives specific instructions on what you need to do to recover or improve.
During the intake session, I will always critically assess whether I am the best person to help you.

- Insights come between sessions: The most significant insights often come between sessions.
